Why should I try vaulting?
Values and friendships
Acacia Gold club members learn that sportsmanship, horsemanship and teamwork are paramount. Strong bonds and friendships are formed within the club between members themselves and their horses. Empathetic and cooperative human and equine relationships are vital for success, the team is all important and the most fundamental team member is the horse.
Vaulting helps confidence and poise with many German riding clubs insisting that children learn to vault before they are allowed to ride. Often young riders who have had a fall and have lost confidence, regain it once they start vaulting. As vaulting helps with balance and developing an independent seat, many riders of all ages find vaulting hugely beneficial.
Healthy in more ways than one
Vaulting helps promote a healthy work life balance and is an excellent way to develop fitness and flexibility, promoting strong muscles and bones while helping vaulters establish healthy habits for life.
“Physical activity in general is associated with improved academic achievement, including grades and standardized test scores. Further, such activity can affect attitudes and academic behavior, including enhanced concentration, attention, and improved classroom behaviour.”
Aspen Project Play
Apart from the physical health benefits derived from such a fun and active sport, there are also psychological benefits. Spending time with animals has been shown to positively reduce stress and aid relaxation.
This fun sport for all ages promotes co-ordination, balance, physical health, self-esteem, the ability to work as a team member, lifelong friendships all linked by the overwhelming love and trust of a horse.”

Benefits of vaulting
Vaulting is a wonderfully inclusive sport enjoyed by girls and boys, with different age groups working together. At Acacia Gold Equestrian Vaulting Club young vaulters are mentored by older vaulters. Having different age groups work closely together is beneficial for all, helping build and develop vaulters' confidence, perseverance and communication skills while enjoying themselves and learning horsemanship. The friendship and memories that are made, last a lifetime.
Finally, vaulting with Acacia Gold Equestrian Vaulting Club is really really FUN!
